Bradley Cooper’s directing journey has taken its most formidable flip but along with his new Leonard Bernstein biopic, Maestro. The teaser trailer for the Netflix film arrived on Tuesday and gave us our first preview of Cooper’s portrayal of the composer, together with Carey Mulligan as Bernstein’s longtime spouse and good friend Felicia Montealegre.
The teaser itself focuses on the connection between Bernstein and Montealegre. It begins of their previous, in black-and-white, with each of them younger, then cuts ahead to the couple as their older selves, in shade. In between, we see scenes of Bernstein conducting and flirting with males, whereas Montealegre is in turmoil, at the very least for a time.
Bernstein and Montealegre had an advanced however seemingly blissful marriage, which appears to be largely the topic of this film, or at the very least its basis, in keeping with the teaser.
