As you may have noticed when building your PC, AVADirect proudly offers multiple warranty tiers in our configurators, depending on the type of custom computer you have selected.For laptops, warranties are typically limited to whatever tiers the manufacturer of the laptop offers. Usually it is one, maybe two tiers of warranty coverage ranging from a 1-year parts/labor warranty to a 3-year parts/labor warranty. More information for those can be found by clicking the “I” icon next to the warranty on the individual products configurator. As for desktop computers, please see our wide selection of warranty options below!Definitions of some of AVADirect Custom Computer’s warranty terminology:Hourly rate for work conducted on the computerThis refers to how long your warranty will cover the cost of components in need of replacement.This refers to the cost of shipping the system to AVADirect when warranty work is needed. Note: for systems where shipping is covered, all the original packing materials are required for us to cover the shipment.This refers to the cost of shipping the system back to you after your repair is completed. By default, the shipping cost on systems repaired under warranty is covered by AVADirect unless the system is shipping overseas, to Hawaii, Alaska, any offshore US territories, was repaired out of warranty, was shipped using an expedited shipping method per customer request, or it is a special system that requires special handling by a carrier or carrier affiliated services.This is a service that is offered on some of our higher tier warranties. In the event a part needs to be replaced and our feel up to replacing it yourself to save some time, we can ship you the new part first. This decreases the lead time as you do not need to send us the bad part first like with a standard replacement. Most replacement times with this method are 3-7 days rather than 7-10 like with the standard method. Both of those times can vary depending on the availability of the part.Technical support refers to the post sale technical assistance offered by our support staff. If you receive your custom PC and you are unsure of the setup process, discover parts that have failed, have an issue that needs to be diagnosed, or just have questions about your computer and its capabilities, our support staff can assist. All parts that are installed or modified after the initial receipt of the system are not eligible for support, unless installed by AVADirect during a warranty procedure or upgrade procedureWarranty levels for standard desktop computers, gaming PCs, workstation desktops, and servers built by AVADirect and what they cover (Hardline liquid cooled systems excluded. Please refer to the separate section below):AVA Basic: This warranty is the default warranty option that is included as the baseline for our standard desktop PCs and gaming towers, as well as most of our workstation computers and server units that are built by AVADirect. This warranty level covers labor for a period of 2 years, and parts are covered for a period of 1 year. Shipping is not covered. Technical support is lifetime.AVA Bronze: This warranty is the next step up from AVA Basic. This option is available for our desktop computers and gaming PCs, as well as most of our workstation towers and server units that are built by AVADirect. This warranty level covers labor for a period of 3 years, and parts are covered for a period of 2 years. Shipping is not covered. Technical support is lifetime.AVA Silver: This warranty is the next step up from AVA Bronze. This option is available for our standard desktop towers and gaming PCs, as well as most of our workstation PCs and server units that are built by AVADirect. This warranty level covers labor for the lifetime of the system, and parts are covered for a period of 3 years. Shipping is not covered. Technical support is lifetime.AVA Gold: This warranty is the next step up from AVA Silver. This option is available for our standard desktop towers and gaming computers, as well as most of our workstation computers and server units that are built by AVADirect. This warranty level covers labor for the lifetime of the system, and parts are covered for a period of 3 years. Shipping or Advanced replacements are covered for a period of 1 year. Technical support is lifetime.AVA Platinum: This warranty is the next step up from AVA Gold. This option is available for our standard gaming PCs and tower desktops, as well as most of our workstation PCs and server units that are built by AVADirect. This warranty level covers labor for the lifetime of the system, and parts are covered for a period of 4 years. Shipping or Advanced replacements are covered for a period of 2 years. Technical support is lifetime.AVA Titanium: This warranty is the next step up from AVA Gold. This option is available for our tower desktop PCs and custom gaming computers, as well as most of our workstation and server units that are built by AVADirect. This warranty level covers labor for the lifetime of the system, and parts are covered for a period of 5 years. Shipping or Advanced replacements are covered for a period of 3 years. Technical support is lifetime.Warranty levels for Custom Water-Cooled Computers:AVA Bronze: This warranty is the base warranty for hardline liquid cooled systems. This warranty level covers labor for a period of 2 years, and parts are covered for a period of 1 years. Shipping is not covered. Technical support is lifetime.AVA Silver: This warranty is the next step up from AVA Bronze. This warranty level covers labor for a period of 3 years, and parts are covered for a period of 2 years. Shipping is not covered. Technical support is lifetime.AVA Gold: This warranty is the next step up from AVA Silver. This warranty level covers labor for the lifetime of the system, and parts are covered for a period of 3 years. Shipping is not covered. Technical support is lifetime.AVA Platinum: This warranty is the next step up from AVA Gold. This warranty level covers labor for the lifetime of the system, and parts are covered for a period of 4 years. Shipping is not covered. Technical support is lifetime.Warranty levels for Barebone PC:AVA Barebone: This is the base level warranty included with all Barebone Computers. This warranty level will only cover parts and labor for a period of 30 days in the event the system is received with a part that is DOA (dead on arrival). Shipping is not covered. No technical support is offered beyond the basic support needed to determine if a part is defective within the first 30 days.AVA Barebone Plus: This warranty is the next step up from AVA Barebone. This warranty level will cover parts and labor for a period of 1 year. Shipping is not covered.
