Is it possible to remove the Parasite in Baldur’s Gate 3
In Baldur’s Gate 3, you will go on a long quest to remove the Illithids Tadpole Power infecting your mind. However, at the end of the Removing the Parasite quest, you will obtain the Ring of Psionic Protection to protect you from further damage from the larva. As a result, you will not be able to remove the parasite during Chapter One of Baldur’s Gate 3.
How can you remove the parasite in Baldur’s Gate 3?
You will meet many companions during the main quest line to help remove the Tadpole from your brain. However, most will be useless, and some even harmful. Once you free Lae’zel, she will suggest you be cured at Githyanki Creche.
Next, you can go to Druid Grove and meet a Druid healer called Nettie. However, she instead tries you poison you once she learns of the parasite in your head. You can then talk her out of it by using the Persuasion Check.
After this, you can try the Goblin Priestess Gut. Of course, nothing is ever easy, and you soon find out the larva also infects the Priestess. Like many women you will meet, the Priestess also offers to take care of your Tadpole problem, but once again, you are poisoned.
After that, you can try Auntie Ethel, a hideous Green Hag that has imprisoned Mayrina, a young pregnant woman. She won’t offer this service for free, so you must make a deal with her. Once she uses her magic, she will take your eye, not your parasite. Though, do make sure to loot her lair, as she will have plenty of valuable potions.
You can also get help for the Druid Halsin; during the Save the Refugees quest, you’ll have to travel to the Goblin Camp. Once you save Halsin, he will suggest you go to Moonrise Towers.
You will also ask Omeluum in the Underdark. He is a Mind Flayer that will communicate with your larva once you obtain the necessary ingredients. Of course, nothing is helpful; however, he will provide you with the Ring of Psionic Protection.
