In the US, there are over 600 Native American and Alaskan Native tribes, representing roughly 1.5 to 2 p.c of the inhabitants. 3) Discovering others within the office with shared experiences and affinities,
4) Feeling like your life experiences are revered and you could contribute in methods that aren’t typecast or tokenized.
Celebrating Native American tradition and perseverance
Cisco’s Native American Community (NAN) worker useful resource group was established as a means for Cisco’s Native American neighborhood to come back collectively, have enjoyable, educate, advocate, and share our collective experiences with others–each inside and outdoors of Cisco.
As we have a good time Nationwide Native American Heritage Month this November, I’m proud to work at an organization that takes an energetic position in advocating for Native peoples pursuing jobs in STEM and tech and supporting organizations just like the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) to assist additional STEM training and develop alternatives for Native People of their communities and past. As a society, we turn out to be extra beneficial when everybody contributes. And supporting Indigenous information helps us all.
