Nintendo to shut gross sales places of work in Redwood Metropolis and Toronto

Nintendo of America is closing two gross sales places of work in Toronto and Redwood Metropolis.

In a press release handed to Kotaku, the corporate confirmed it could be shutting down “small satellite tv for pc places of work” in these areas and shifting some staff to its headquarters in Redmond and Vancouver.

“Nintendo of America headquarters are in Redmond, WA, and Vancouver, BC. We’re shifting extra of our workers and operations into these headquarters and might be closing small satellite tv for pc places of work in Toronto, ON, and Redwood Metropolis, CA, over time,” stated Nintendo.

“Devon Pritchard, Govt Vice President, Enterprise Affairs and Writer Relations for Nintendo of America, will assume interim management of Gross sales, Advertising and marketing and Communications following the departure of Nick Chavez. Ms. Pritchard will oversee technique and execution of gross sales, advertising and communications throughout the U.S. and Canada.”

Nameless sources beforehand advised Kotaku that round 100 workers could be laid off because of the transfer. 
Regardless of confirming the information, Nintendo did not clarify what number of workers will be relocated or what prompted the choice.
